Dramatic Eyeliner FTW!

I was browsing randomly online last night when I came across a picture of a lovely lady from Suicide Girls.  Her makeup intrigued me, so I thought it would be fun to recreate!  Obviously, mine is not as neat as hers, but it was still fun to do!

The original makeup job:

And here's my version.  (I'm not entirely sure why I look like someone just kicked my puppy.  I didn't even notice until just now as I was uploading them onto here.  Sorry!)

I know... in comparison, mine looks like crap.  In all fairness, I did it in like... 5 minutes... and it was late.  But it was fun!  I might do it again and spend more time on it this time.  (I promise!)  Oooh, and did you notice that my hair is lighter?  I bleached it myself!  I don't really know exactly what color I was going for, so much as just trying it out and praying it didn't go traffic cone orange, haha!

The products I used are:
Maybelline flesh toned e/s
MAC Steamy e/s
CoverGirl sparkly black e/s
MAC Liquidlast Aqualine eyeliner
MAC Blacktrack gel liner
false lashes (on top and bottom, but cannot for the life of me remember what brand they are)

In other news, You know that you can find me on my personal Twitter, but recently I took on the position of "Senior Social Media Specialist" or Social Media Expert/Extraordinaire (hee!) for the wondrous LeLuv.com!  (You may remember me reviewing one of their products a few posts ago...)  So when you see tweets from the LeLuvDotCom Twitter, be sure to say hi, cuz it'll almost certainly be ME!

Sodastream Giveaway Info

This is a fun giveaway!  Something that everyone can appreciate!  Run over and check out Amundsen House of Chaos for a her Sodastream Review and Giveaway!

She's giving away a kit with:
* Fountain Jet Home Soda Maker
* 1 60 liter Carbonator
* 2 Carbonating Bottles
* 2 SodaMix flavors – each bottle makes 12 liters of soda

Also, her son suffered from a stroke, and though they have good insurance through the military, they still need some help with some of the services that their son would benefit from recovery-wise.  So she's selling an e-book to help raise the funds that they need!
The blurb from her site says:
Stroke recovery is expensive! While we have wonderful insurance through the military it doesn't cover the therapies that help Colby the most. Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy is $10,000 for 40 sessions. Ouch! That's just one example of what has helped Colby. If you'd like to help fund additional equipment and therapies for Colby please buy this ebook of Cheesecake recipes. Check back often. I'll change the available ebook every month. The suggested price is $5 but you can edit the amount to what ever you want. We appreciate any help in Colby's journey.
If you want to help out, every little bit would help!  So buy the book!

Or, if you want to just donate, you can do that too!

Daring in Blue and Black

For a little while now, I've wanted to recreate the Green With Envy look by Dana LaJeunesse.  She's so incredibly talented, and it's a beautiful look!  Finally, I got around to doing an inspired version of the look, but instead of the gorgeous greens she used, I decided to substitute blue.  The look isn't as amazing as hers, but I'm not as talented as she is, either.  Maybe someday, I'll be able to match up to her.

I really think the right side came out better than the left, but as I have a very difficult time working on the left side of my face because of my vision, I think it came out alright, I suppose, haha.

To create this look, I used:
Wet n Wild Idol Eyes Creme Shadow Pencil in Distress
NYX Jumbo Pencils in Milk and Black Bean
Detrivore Cosmetics e/s in Decomposition
Raving Beauty Cosmetics e/s in Carbon
Cargo matte white e/s (I don't have a name for it)
MAC Cosmetics gel liner in Blacktrack
CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus eyeliner in Black
About Face Cosmetics e/s in Mesh and Lace
Ardell lashes in Demi Wipsies

A little bit of random

So this may come as a surprise to you all, but I actually have two YouTube channels.  One of them, I'm sure the majority of you know about: detailoring, and then I have a vlog channel: KaylaBug84.  I've only got a couple of videos on the second one, but I'm thinking about starting to do more.  I've actually been challenged to do a 365 Vlog, so if I do end up starting that, I'll probably be posting the videos there, and possibly even then posting the videos here on this blog.  Any interest in watching them if I do that?

I've also got an idea for my regular YouTube channel, but it would likely make my channel a bit racier than it is.  Perhaps I should start another YouTube channel altogether for that... no details yet... it's still just an idea in the formation...  I know I have a few readers out there that are a bit more sensitive to things of a sexual nature, so I would definitely keep that in mind for future posts, should I actually get around to starting up that idea.

I do have a couple of products that I need to do reviews for.  If you have anything you'd like for me to review, let me know!  I love doing reviews, it's kind of a challenge, really.

Love of the Love of Pig Love!

I was playing around with my makeup yesterday, and did a look inspired by Shannon's Pig Love look which was inspired by Matt's Pig Love look.  It was bright and random... and I don't know that I could/would necessarily wear it out, but it was fun!  I used products from Detrivore Cosmetics and Raving Beauty Cosmetics!

Raving Beauty's May Shadows

I know it's been a while since I've actually gotten around to posting on here!  I'm a horrible blogger.  Things have been soooo incredibly busy!  The baby has been losing a lot of weight, and nobody can figure out why.  He's going through all kinds of testing to figure it out, and as you can imagine, it keeps me on my toes a lot.

I received my Raving Beauty shadows for the month of May in the mail the other day, and they're gorgeous!  I'm so excited to show them to you all!  (Check out her store to see the new colors she added recently as well!  She's also added a lipgloss base to make your own lipgloss colors, and she also added Aroma Melts!!)

This month, I received Black Sapphire, Iced Beige, Dark Chocolate, and Sunset Orange.  The swatches for the shadows are here:

The top row is with primer, and the bottom row is dry.  From left to right, we have Iced Beige, Sunset Orange, Dark Chocolate, and Black Sapphire.  I really couldn't say that I have a favorite of any of them, they're all amazing and each has their own wonderful qualities! I can honestly say, though, that I have a few looks in mind with a few (or all!) of these colors that I can't wait to do tutorials for!  So keep your eyes open for them on the YouTube channel!

BABIES Movie Coming Out!

I've been away for a while!  I'm sorry!  But I'm back now!  Did you miss me?

I've got lots of great posts coming up, reviews, tutorials, and more!

But first!  There's a movie coming out soon, and I've been approached by the lovely folks over at BzzAgent to help promote it!  So here I am!  I watched the trailer, and it looks adorable.  Seeing as how I have a baby of my own in the same age range as the cuties in this movie, you have to know I was a bit of a sucker for the gummy grins.

This is the poster for the movie!  The basic idea of the movie is to follow four kids from the day of their birth to their first birthday.  Babies from across the world!  One from Namibia, one from Japan, one from Mongolia, and one from California.  Just in the trailer alone, I had moments where I just laughed out loud.  This definitely looks like a  movie that moms would love, as well as everybody else too!

I think a great description of the movie is in its blurb:

Everybody loves... BABIES. Coming to theatres this Mother's Day Weekend (May 7th), this visually stunning new movie simultaneously follows four babies around the world - from first breath to first steps. From Mongolia to Namibia to San Francisco to Tokyo, BABIES joyfully captures on film the earliest stages of the journey of humanity that are at once unique and universal to us all.

Watch the Trailer, and I'm sure you'll fall in love with it like I did!
